International Chemicals Engineering P/L (I.C.E) began their association with Arkema (then AtoFina) in 2002 as a result of the reorganisation of the company's gas odorising business.

Arkema is a world-class producer of gas odorants and counts on the experience and expertise of its 18,600 employees worldwide to create a company of innovation, growth and performance.

International Chemicals Engineering P/L (I.C.E) is the exclusive Australian distributor for the complete range of gas odorants produced by ARKEMA, both in bulk (20,000 litre ISO vessels) and in smaller quantities (semi bulk containers).

Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) and Natural Gas odorants can be supplied in quantities to suit your requirements from our Melbourne based storage and transfer facility.

Liquid Petroleum Gas and Natural Gas Odorants are decanted into tanks ranging in size from 200LT to 1000LT in our fully enclosed transfer room on our Dandenong site. These tanks are then shipped to customers throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Natural Gas odorants, including Tertiary Butyl Mercaptan (TBM), Isopropyl Mercaptan (IPM), Normal Propyl Mercaptan (NPM) and Tetra Hydra Thiophene (THT) or blends of these compounds are supplied by I.C.E to the Australian and New Zealand market. These blends are as follows

• Spotleak 1005 70% THT and 30% TBM
• Spotleak 1009 60% TBM, 30% IPM, 10% NPM
• Alerton 88 100% THT

Throughout Australia and New Zealand LPG is odorised solely with ethyl mercaptan.

In addition to supplying the odorants, I.C.E can also supply transportable containers and dosing systems to ensure that every chemical application is safe and accurate. We also specialise and supply spill kits and gas odour neutralising chemical and equipment.
